NEF Announces March Events
Something for the ladies, something for the family, and something for a group of friends.
The Northborough Education Foundation has three March fundraising events that will make you forget about all the snow we’ve had this winter.
Ladies Night Out: NEF has teamed up with Northboro Local First, an effort by local, independent and small businesses to build and maintain a vibrant local economy in town. These businesses are coordinating a monthly event series where a portion of their sales will be donated back to NEF. The first is a Ladies Night Out, which will be held at the Purple Rose located at 140 Main Street, Northborough on Thursday, March 5 from 6 pm – 8 pm. It will be a fun evening of casual shopping, mingling and special giveaways. Be sure to follow the Facebook page, Northborough Local Ladies Night Out, to keep updated on each month’s special venue and event.
Dinner at Romaine’s: If all the winter shoveling has made you hungry, it’s time to treat yourself to dinner at Romaine’s on Sunday, March 8 between 5 pm and 8 pm. Please mention NEF to your server and 15% of your food bill will be donated to NEF. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Romaine’s at 508-393-8889 or on line through www.opentable.com. The restaurant is located in Times Square, 299 West Main St., Northborough and a kid’s menu is available.
Trivia Night: There’s still time to form your team of 2-4 people to test your knowledge of sports, entertainment, history, and science. Mark your calendar to be at Acacia at Indian Meadows, 275 Turnpike Rd., in Westborough on Friday, March 27 – doors open at 7 pm, first question at 7:30 pm. Cost is $140/team and $5 suggested donation at the door for spectators.
This year’s generous event sponsor is Marlborough Savings Bank.
