2014 Funded Project: Northborough/Southborough Children’s Book Award

Granted: Funding for new books for a town wide reading contest.

Summary Description:  The Northborough/Southborough Children’s Book Award  (NSCBA) Program is a cooperative venture among the school and public libraries in Northborough and Southborough. The program is for children in grades 3-5. In late November, the librarians vote on a list of 10 books to include as nominees for this award. Children have from mid-February until mid-May to read at least 3 (hopefully more) of the books. Then the children vote for their favorite. The book with the most votes is announced the NSCBA winner, and the author is notified via letter.
