2012 Funded Project: Northborough/Southborough Children’s Book Award

Granted: Funding for new books for a town wide reading contest.

Summary:
The Northborough/Southborough Children’s Book Award Program is a cooperative venture among the school and public libraries in Northborough and Southborough. The program is for children in grades 3-5. In late November, the librarians vote on a list of 10 books to include as nominees for this award. Children have from mid-February until mid-May to read at least 3(hopefully more) of the books. Then the children vote for their favorite. The book with the most votes is announced the NSCBA winner, and the author is notified via letter.
