Grant Process & Timeline

The following is an outline of the NEF Grant Process:

  1. Grant Application Submission (Deadline: May 1)
    Completed Applications must be submitted to NEF no later than May 1st. Each application received will be reviewed by the Grant Committee between May 1st and notification of decision.  Any follow-up questions on the application will be sent during this time.
  2. Notification of Decision (prior to last day of school June)
    Grant applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision via electronic mail. Each year’s grant recipients will be posted to the website. Funding requests can be submitted at any time over the year using the Grant Requisition Form.
  3. Grant Awards Ceremony (Early September)
  4. Follow-up (30 days after project completion)
    Within 30 days of completion, funded projects must submit a final report detailing the project’s activities and achievement versus project objectives and expenditures. Future funding could be impacted if final reports are not submitted.
